WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM PUNISHMENT UNDER Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act 1881

as per negotiable instruments act " such person shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend tp one year or fine which may extend to twice the amount of the cheque or with both."
