Legal Question in Banking Law in India
negotiable instrument act.
i have a a/c in axis bank.i presented a central bankcheque but the bank returned the cheque saying it is a cash credit a/c and have to be placed where the drawee has opened the a/c.being a roaming a/c i placed the cheque in the drawee place of businee but the same was returned. can i file a case in my place or the course of action would be the drawee place.

you can file a case at your place IF the terms of the account permitted you to enjoy roaming facility. otherwise, depending upon the amount, you should better settle the matter out of court; send a draft to the drawee and try to close the issue.
court - litigation is costly, time consuming and at times fruitless. should be resorted to ONLY as a last resort.
