If a company receives a cheque which later bounces and if it is filing a case under the NI Act, does an employee need to be nominated to attend court cases etc or will any person authorized by the Board of Directors do?

Re: Negotiable Instrument Act

Absolutely. You have to nominate a person to attend the court. You can pass a board resolution to that effect. Please also mention in the Complaint u/s 138, that the nominated person is aware of the facts and circumstances related to matter.
