Sir,

i sent a legal notice for dishonor of cheque to the accused, but he rejected the to receive the notice. How many days limitation to file complaint.

you add 15 days to the date of his refusal of the notice. From that date file the complaint within one month. To be on the safe side, within 30 days from the expiry of 15 days of the date of refusal of the notice.

Refusal to receive the notice amounts to deemed service of the notice. One then has to wait for 15days from the date of service of notice for making the payment. If payment is not received in these 15days, then the complaint must be filed within 16-45th day from the date of service of the notice.
