If you are sending it regularly then it will become taxable. Once in a year within the taxable limits means then no tax will be levied stating that it is a gift from you and already that your income had been subjected to tax. No double taxation is done. It is better you open an NRI account in India and transfer the amount into that account and ask your mother to withdraw from that.
