you may send him a legal notice under negotiable instruments act within one month of bouncing of cheque and upon non payment, file a complaint.

send notice by RPAD within 30 days of return of either cheque to pay the amount due with interest at 18% p.a. within 15 days of the receipt of notice. In case he fails to do so, file a case in the local magistrate court within one month after the expiry of the 15 days time set out above. Take the assistance of local lawyer in this exercise.
