Legal Question in Banking Law in
third party cheque given to me is dishonored and I want to lodge a FIR how can i do.

you have first to give notice to the drawer of the cheque by regd.Post Ack.due or courier with acknowledgment within 30 days of the receipt of intimation from your bank of the dishonour of cheque asking him to pay the cheque amount within 15 days of the receipt of notice. If he fails, you have to give a complaint to the local Magistrate court within one month from the expiry of 15 days of the receipt of notice by the opposite party. You have to take the assistance of local lawyer for these steps. No use in lodging FIR with Police.
