can payment be made by a cheque signed in back date by a deceased account holder

If the Bank is aware of the death of the account holder when the cheque signed by him is presented for payment, the bank will refuse payment and return the same as 'drawer deceased". If on the other hand it makes payment without notice of the death of the drawer, it can validly debit his account.
