Re: pledge
Pledge of shares by simply deposit of the share certificates is valid. But the practical difficulty in the absence of either filled up share transfer form or blank signed transfer form, is in selling the shares. If there is no such transfer form signed taken from pledgor, one has to make a lot of documentation before requesting the company to transfer the shares in case the shares are sold after default takes place by the pledgor after due notice to him to pay the debt and threatening him with the sale of shares in case of default.
