Legal Question in Banking Law in India
i have received self bearer cheque by my spouse in oct 2010. we have joint account but my spouse alone has signing authority. do i now withdraw the said amount quoted on it after one and half months? it is of BOI.

If the bearer cheque is signed by your wife who has alone the authority to sign cheques on the joint account, you can encash the same within six months from the date of issue. The Bank will require you to sign the same on the back of it when encashing the same.
