Role of Company Secretary in Asset Managment Company

i would like to know what is the role of company secretary in asset managment companies or secraterial work involved .or area of proficiency reqired by company secretary.

A company secretary's role in an asset management company is not different from his role in any other company. He will have to ensure that all formalities required under the Companies Act are observed. Besides, he has to get him acquainted with RBI guidelines, norms regarding reporting, compliance with their requirements. It is better to study all circulars of RBI on the asset management company including capital structure, reporting schedule etc.

A company secretary is mandated to ensure compliance with the provisions of Companies Act on behalf of the company and apprise the BoD accordingly.
