Sueing the Bank for disclosing the information with consent
Is it possible to sue the bank for disclosing the information to cibil without consent from the client.I did own some credit cards around 12 year backs and banks has falsely disclosed that I own some amounts to them.They have added interest after interest for 12 years and now they have updated the outstanding to the tune of 7 lacs appx.I am having real hard time in getting the information from both CIBIL and the concerned Bank.Is their any lawyer in Pune,India who can take the matter.

You might have missed the fine print in the application for issue of credit card or the brochure accompanying the same. The same would contain a clause that the issuer of card is entitled to share information about u. Even other wise, the bank is in general interest protected in disclosing your indebtedness to CIBIl. The point is did you or did not u owe amount to the Bank. If U owe the amount, no point in indulging in litigation. If on the other hand there is total false information, then seek the help of a lawyer to fight out the matter. Perhaps, you can search for the name of the lawyer in the yellow pages or in the Law Guru portal for the lawyer in Pune.

You may better try to settle the matter out of court instead of indulging in a futile litigation.
