How many times a cheque can be revalidated by the drawer?

At least once.
The drawer crosses out the old date, and states the new date with his signature.
Because a cheque is a small piece of paper, the amount of times this is possible, is limited.
It may be more advisable that the original cheque is destroyed, and a new one is drawn up.
