Legal Question in Banking Law in India
My usigned cheque book has been misplaced of a closed bank account, for which I have intimated to police. Someone misused the cheque. Now what should I do?

You say the missing cheque book is not signed by you and the account is also closed. You further say that you have intimated to the Police about the missing cheque book. Hope you have proof of having made the complaint to Police. If someone has misused any cheque out of the above book, you cannot be charged. If anybody claims on the basis of the missing cheque leaf, you can repudiate the claim on the basis of the above facts.
