Legal Question in Banking Law in India
My wife died in an accident and she deposited some amount in post office before marriage and nominated her parent for deposit. Can I being a legal heir, claim that amount from post office now?

I presume u r a Hindu. If you have no children, your wife's parent can claim the amount. first as nominee her parent is entitled to receive the amount from the Post Office. If you have child or children, you and your child(ren) can claim the amount from the nominee parent and not from the Post office.
