Legal Question in Banking Law in India
I was working in dubai and having loan on my credit cards issued by dubai bank in uae last year after recession i was send back to India without any notice rom my employer. Now the bank traced me in India and asking for the dues with the help of local agents and they are harrssing me even my wife also over phone. I dont have any job now in India. what will I do, pls advise me and provide me any delhi lawer adress and no.

make a complaint to Police against harassment. Supreme Court in ICICI Bank's case has laid down that no bank can harass thru recovery agents. You can find out the name of delhi lawyer in this forum.
You need to make payment of your loans. there is hardly any escape unless you file for bankruptcy. The bank may take legal action and after recovery suit against you is decreed, you may have to face civil detention. The local police may protect you from harrassment by recovery agents but cannot help you in avoiding your liability unless you reach an amicable settlement with the bank.
