i gave a chaque to a person. but i had to pay him pay money before the date of chaque. that person din't give me any proof of it. now he has fieled a case. what sould i do sir. that chaque was on the name of his compony. in notice he says that i took a friendly loan from him. i naver took any kind of laon from him. nor he has a proof of it. sir will i have pay that monye in court again. plz tell that what kind of punnismet can be given the court in this kind of case.

As per facts, yes.
Punishment: Double the amount of check and/or 2 years imprisonment.
But all these cases settle before the court resorts to such measures.
