i have a cheque it is 4 months old is mit bounced or not

The cheque is valid for 6 months period. Deposit the same immediately

u need to deposit the cheque in your account and after it is bounced, within one month, u need to send the legal notice to the person who issued the cheque to pay you the money within 15 days from the date of receiving the cheque.

Cheque remains valid till six months from the date of its issuance. You need to deposit the same in your account. After the cheque remains unpaid due to insufficient balance, then you may proceed further under Negotiable Instruments Act for effecting its recovery.

Hello.
You need to deposit the cheque in your bank account and if in case it gets returned/bounced within duration of 1 month you may issue a legal notice to the issuer of the cheque to pay the money to you.
