Cheque Paid But Still getting Threats!
My company had issued a cheque of 1500 Rs. it bounced due to insufficient funds. the amount was settled in cash, and the sign of the receipent was taken on a cash voucher with a revenue stamp.
But now the reciepent is threatning court case out of simple spite. he alleges that we cheated him and need to pay 5000 Rs. as damages for the bpunced cheque.
Can he take legal action or create further trouble??
