Persons who have completed 18 years of age and who are not disqualified under the provisions of any law are competent to contract.

he must be 18 years of age (major, sound mind and not barred by any law from entring into any contract.
maturity means his ability to understand the pros and cons of the contracts.

Every person is competent to contract who is of the age of majority according to the law to which he is subject, and who is sound mind and is not disqualified from contracting by any law to which he is subject.
