Legal Question in Business Law in India

Hello,

We three partners (all are Under Graduate students) have started a firm last month & we are working fine. We provide Web Design solutions. We have not registered any name for the firm yet. We have some names in our mind to register as our firm name. Our question is "Is it legal to use the names we haven't registered for our firm till we apply for registration?".

We are thinking to apply for registration after some time. Please advice us on this matter.

Hi

Yours is a partnership firm having three partners. It is not neccesary to register the partnership firm. but even if you dont register the firm you should have a trade name and a partnership deed signed by all the three partners.

After the deed is finalized and the name is decided. You can go for the registration of the trade mark of the name or the logo of your firm. This would give more authenticity to your business.

Consult in case of clarifications and procedures.
