HI,I am Hari Prasad M K from Bangalore.I have decided to become a partner of a company in Bangalore.As if now , there are 2 partners and i will be joining as the 3rd Partner.They have a company Current Account at Canara Bank, which is operated jointly by them.What is the procedure to add my name in the same current account and get the cheque power ?.Is Partnership deed sufficinet?.Can i add my name to the existing Current account as a partner?.Please provide the information.

yes partnership deed is sufficient... you need to submit the copy to bank and get ur name added in the account operation

Partnership Deed and a letter signed by all partners, is sufficient.

Dear Hari Prasad,

The Partnership Deed admitting you as a Partner must have specified your authority to jointly operate the bank A/c's of the firm along with the other signatories. A resolution passed and signed by all the partners will have to be submitted to the bank along with your introduction as a joint A/c holder.
