A Karta or a coparcener with the consent of all others in HUF can be a partner of the firm.

Yes.Why not any person being a karta of a HUF in his individual capacity and status can become a proprietor/partner/director or even a CMD(Chairman & Managing Director)of any business.No permission or consent from anyone is required.Subject to a condition that the proprietory should not arise out of the concerned HUF.
