i have recived a cheque of 1,00000INR from a person and now that cheque is dishonoured by the bank because of insufficient funds in that person a/c.so what is the possible legal action i can take against that person.

u need to send a legal notice within one month from bouncing of the cheque asking the drawer to pay the cheque amount within 15 days from the date of receiving notice. the day notice is received, you may file the complaint u/s 138 NI Act within 45 days in case he doesnt pay up within 15 days.
Does the person owe you money and this cheque was given in repayment? if yes, send a lawyer notice for cheque dishonour asking the person to pay the cheque amount and then file action for cheque dishonour.
