Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

Cheque bounced case

My wife was teaching in a school from where she resigned recently. The school had a 3 months notice period and she was asked to pay three months salary.Few months back the school took a blank cheque from her (and other teachers also)and now without informing her they had tried to recover the pending dues by submitting the cheque in her bank. However the cheque bounced due to lack of funds.

Now they are threatening her with leagal action if she fails to pay up in 3-4 days time. However on checking the pending dues we found that the amount was not made properly and lot of valid dues had not been deducted from the main dues.

Kindly tell us what to do.The school is also slightly vindictive I feel so they are trying to trouble her also.

We want them to correct the dues and therefater pay t6he actual amount instead of this inflated bill and solve the problem of cheque bounce also. Please advise

Re: Cheque bounced case

You may try to settle the dispute with the school management amicably; in the court you may have a weak case because of the cheque signed by you.
