Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

Compassionate Appointment

Sir,

My father expired on 13.5.2009 after long bed ridden condition. His date of retirement is 31.07.2010. From Jan, 10 2008 he was on Medical Leave. We are two brothers including mother. Both the Brothers are adult having no regular income. Our mother will get pension. Whether both of us are eligible to get job in the Deptt. in which our father worked on compasionate ground? Let me know the reasons for getting and not getting the job on Compassionate Ground.

Re: Compassionate Appointment

The appointment on 'compassionate' grounds is governed by the relelvant service rules of the concerned department.

You may contact the higher authorities in the department for appropriate guidance.
