about co-op hsg societies.

in every societies there is alwyas expenditures are fixed like watch man, light bill, water bill, genrator etc..(accept sinking and repair fund) with this senario maintenace should be collected on the basisi of per flat should not be collect on the basis of sq.ft. so kindly give the sugessions

These provisions are made in the bye-laws of the society; and if the bye-laws are silent, then such decisions are taken in the general body meeting or by the executive committee as per local situation. For providing common facilities, it may not be illegal if the maintenance is being collected on the basis of plot / area size.

Collection of expenses for the provision of utilities is legal on the ground of bye-laws of the Co-operative Housing Societies Limited. You may not worry about it. It must be though before acquiring property in such like societies.
