in case the grandfather did not leave a will behind, you and your great grand father are the equal co sharers in the ancestral property. you may seek partition.

You cannot claim any share in your Grand Fathers property as this property becomes your fathers self acquired property ,if your Grand Father dies intestate.

the opinion cited above is wrong and misleading. in case your grand father dies intestate, you and your father are co sharers of the property.
