Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
Dear Sir
We have ancestoral property which was in my mothers in law's name (Which was purchased in 1956 in my mother in law's mother in law's name ( the mother in law of my mother in law) (which got converted in Residential property in 2003 from Agricultural property) in the state of UP India.
My Mother in law has three sons (All married Married when my mother in law was alive)and two daughter (All married Married when my mother in law was alive )After the death of my mother in law 1996 ,as per family settlement my husband and his brothers entered their names as the ancestoral property owners in 2000 . I just wanted to know it is correct or not as per law.
Should the name of the wifes of all the brothers (Including me and the wife of two brothers of my husband) has to be entered as the real ancestoral property owners or not.
If the property was in my mother in laws and and she has not done any will for it .After her death the property should be automatically be registered in whose name my husband and his two brothers or the wife of all the three brothers .
Please Suggest.
