Details about property

My husband passed away. His grandpa property was shared between my father-in-law siblings. can i claim them? I don't have the property details, how to get them. My in laws took all our things as his bank docs, vehicle, gas, cylinder, furniture etc. Pls help me on this.

your father had an equal right in the property of his grand father. you may file a suit for partition on behalf of your husband being his legal heir. regarding the detail of properties, you may file the case and then serve interrogatories on the opposite parties compelling them to disclose the number of properties left by your great grand father in law.

You may have to dig out all the details of the property owned by your husband's grand father; You may want to file a civil suit for enforcement of your right claiming share in the property as legal heir of your husband.

It may be better if you could reach an amicable out of court settlement and avoid litigation as it may prove very costly and time consuming.
