Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
Domicile certificate
I was born in Kerala but I am working in Maharashtra for last 20 years. Though my son was born in Chennai, he had him complete education in Maharashtra. Now he has completed his Std 12 and is 17 years old. He has lived in Maharashtra his entire life. We have our ration card from last 18 years in Maharashtra. Can my son obtain the Domicile Certificate from Maharashtra? If the Tahsildar objects to issue it only due to my birth in Kerala, whom should I approach?
