Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

Employer and Employee relationship

I worked for a firm in Banglore that has Regd office in Hyderabad. They are into IT staffing. Initially, I have been asked to work from my residence for which I stayed in Gurgaon and used permananet address of Delhi (one of my relative's address for communication). I only have an e-mail exchanged that covers my delhi address version (like laptop hass been shiped to that address with all configured softwares). I worked for almost one and half months from Gurgaon and then I moved to Banglore at companies request because of power and internet issues, where firm releaved me after one and a half month without any reason and neither offered the releaving letter nor it paid the notice pay of one month as per the agreement along with other due for last month that I have worked for them. Can I file a recovery suit from Gurgaon? As I am well placed here now? Further, How effective will it be to inform US embassy as their HQ is in US and all senior people sit there??

You may issue a notice of demand with the help of lawyer.

As far the jurisdiction is concerned it will be Delhi or Bangalore.

Please contact personally alongwith the details.

Professional charges are applicable.

Re: Employer and Employee relationship

You are an established professional. The kind of compensation you are thinking would be pea-nuts as compared to all the hassles you may have to suffer in a court case.

Just send them a notice of demand (directly by yourself OR may be through a lawyer) and try to set at rest. You deserve to be 'free' from the hang-over.

In any case Gurgaon has no territorial jurisdiction in the case. It will be either Delhi or Bangalore.

It will be futile writing to US Embassy.
