if defendant dont come in witness box then his case will not be proved and so most chances will be that it will go in favour of the petitioner

Question is vague in nature.Naturally withholding of vital evidence will result in lose of case and if defendant does not come in witness box then naturally he will not be able to prove his case and he will be looser.
