Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

I am a friend of this lady , After her father's death, can her mother sell of property without daughter's concern ? no information is available yet of the will .And if any step can be taken to prevent the selling of the property. How much right does a married woman has over her father's property when her mother is living. Her mother is selling her father's property against her daughter's will and giving the money to an outsider ( mother's brother ) who has no right over the property at all.. can any one give a legal opinion - How can this married woman stop being deprived of her rights by her own mother .does Indian law has any provision for protecting daughter's right over her own father's property ? Or Is there any step by which her concern can also be made equal as her living mother in case of taking any decision of the same property of which i have referred above . - Thank you .

in the absence of will, the daughter has an equal right as her mother and she can seek stay against the sale of property in her partition suit.
