Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
My grandfather inherited a huge property from his father. He had 5 sons and 1 daughter. The property was equally divided within his sons out of which my father is one. My aunt refused to take the share. My father sold some part of it and purchased a shop in his name. Also a plot has been purchased jointly in the name of me and my brother, a part of which was later on sold for my sister's marriage asking us to sign the sale deed. I also have one sister. Also 1 plot was purchased 8 years back in my name which is now also a part of our house we live. Now my mother is forcing to will the whole property in her, my brother and my sister's name and not to give any share to me as I didn't take any dowry in my marriage which was also mostly financed by me and my spouse. Also my father didn't pay me a single penny after my schooling and studied my PG of my own. But he paid for my brother and sister's education. Also from food, clothes etc and other daily needs were taken care only by me as I started earning through home tutions at the age of 17 years.
Now they all even my father discriminate my wife as she is a hindu-punjabi and we hindu pandit.
I want to ask what rights in the whole property I have and if I go to court what would be the judgement.

You may need to engage a lawyer for determining your exact share in the family property and to pursue your remedy in the local civil courts.
However, you are entitled to an equal share in ancestral property at par with all other Class I heirs.
