I have a house built on a site measuring 40ft/60ft. Can I write a will on a plain paper? Is a witness required to sign in my will ?

yes, two witnesses are required and preferably a will should be registered.

You are free to write your will in any manner you like - hand written, typed, printed; on any kind of paper - plain, note-book.
However, to avoid any dispute amongst your legal heirs, if any, it is advisable that a will be written in a clear legible manner on a thick paper and witnessed by two persons. It is preferred that one of the witness is a medical doctor who certifies about your sound mental health for executing the will.
