Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
I Ihave got lands in two plots namely 115 and 116 in a district town of Jharkhand. Both r adjacent to each other sharing boundary. Heir of the vendor (of plot no. 115 who sold me rest of the land left after selling to various parties.) in collusion with the revenue authority's staffs applied for the demarcation of the plot no. 115. We recieved notice and objected to it in SDM court since Circle Officer (CO) was absent. SDM sent notice to CO office(revenue authority) to inquire and report. But no action was taken at CO office. Now when we were at outstation, in absence of us, they demarcated plot no.116(I have 0.56 acre of Land here with registered sale deed in 1966) which is bigger in area. After leaving 0.21 1/2 Acre to us rest they occupied. Some staffs at revenue authority r playing faul with us constantly harrasing us. I have complained it to higher Officers, but in vain. They r too busy to listen/act. If at all they were suposed to demarcate plot no. 115, how they can do it with plot no 116 which is absolutely ours. They r doing it to get some huge bribe. Since, we r educated persons and mostly remain absent from that town. Can we file a criminal case against the people involved. Since, I don't have faith in executive. What shoul we do?

Well!!!!1 criminal action may not help against the government officials if they are doing their job. We suggest you to consult a local lawyer in this matter. Also, under RTI try to find out the reason for the same.
Agreed.
Agreed. You should take appropriate proceedings in accordance with law. a bold statement like "do not have faith in executive" may not hold good.
