Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
Can this land be gifted?
I am from Andhra Pradesh, India.
My Grandfather owned the land. After his death the land got registered on my Father's name. My father, before his death registered some part of the land to my brother. Is that valid now? Does he have the right to gift it?
Is that ancestral property or self acquired one? Is Hindu Ancestral Law valid?
We are 4 brothers and 2 sisters and a mother. How should we divide the land among us. (One of the sister was married before 1985)

Re: Can this land be gifted?
The property was ancestral in the hands of your father; the gift to your brother may not be valid; the ancestral property law is valid. All of you may be entitled to inherit equally getting one seventh share each.
