Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

Legal Heirship to properties after the death of parents

Hi,

3 yars back my father died and 6 months back, my mother died. I have a house in the name of my mother. Now my maternal cousins are trying to prove that I am an adopted son of my parents.

How can I defend and prove the legal heir?

I do have my father's name in all my documents like school certificate, Passport, Voter ID card etc. Along with this my mother took a certificate from SDO in which it is clearly mentioned that in her family, She and myself are only person. But that certificate is on a plain paper but coutersigned by SDO.

Please suggest.

HELLO

GOOD AFTERNOON!

There is no point in worrying for this case.

You have got a good case.

As far legality is concerned even the adpoted son/daughter has got rights same as natural born son/daughter.

Let your cousins prove what they want to prove!

In case of need please contact personally alongwith the documents.

OR

IN CASE OF FURTHER QUERY PLEASE MAIL ME.

Though you may not be an adopted son, but in law even the adopted son has same rights as are available to a natural born son.

Therefore, you do not have to worry about what your material cousins may try to prove.
