Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

I lent money to my friend and I have got only the cheque from him for that amount as a proof. Is this enough for legal document or I need to have any other document. Recently I deposited the cheque and it got bounced back and he is not willing to pay back the money. If I want to send the legal notice about the dishonour of cheque when can I send and is there any particular format for that. pls help.

you need to send the notice within one month from the date of bouncing of the cheque and for that you should contact a lawyer as there is no format for the same.
