yes, she may do so but there are other factors also governing her share.

No as your grand fathers property would devolve upon his legal heirs as there self acquired property . You and other legal heirs of your father would get one share in your father shares in your grand fathers property only and you would get your one share in your fathers share if your father dies intestate or he will the property to you.
