Married woman, husband not taking responsibilty

My friends husband has left the family almost 3 years back.my friend is all alone taking care of a child (including education) since 3 yrs now. she has filed a case under section 125 but she is not able to get anything out of it.what legal action can be taken to make it fast ?

Your statement is incomplete. It has not been stated if he has been 'served' of the court summons in the case.

The lady may also consider filing complaint under domestic violence Act.
