Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

I am a married woman.

I am married on 27th jan 2010.

My husband had fits ie epilepsy disease he and his family members did not inform me before marriage.

He had an attack on 12th of February 2010 at 9.30am in the morning in front of me, after seeing the same i was shocked. He had cheated me. His father is also having fits disease. His elder brother died due to fits disease in the age of 18years. So now i am worried. I am staying in my moms house. I wanted help from your side. I am going to apply for divorce in the month of june 2010. If i apply for divorce how many years it will take to get me divorce certificate. Can i get compensation from my husband for the fraud he had done and spoiled my life.

You are entitled to seek "annulment of marriage" on the ground of fraud and may also claim compensation. You may also consider filing a criminal complaint against your in-laws for cheating and fraud.
