Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
My Mother was given a land of 2.25 acers as as gift at the time of her marriage. That was not registered on her name but passbook exists on her name. In that 2.25 acers, 2 acers was given to my sister as a gift at the time of her marriage and it was registered in her name. The remaining .25 acers is still unregistered.
My uncles are not willing to register the remaining part and is there any way that they can go to court for a share in that.
or is there any way that we can sell that without registration.

Your entire transaction is without legal sanctity. Your mother has not been gifted any thing by her parents because whatever was given is not a gift and subsequently your mother has no title to gift anything to any one especially sister .I fail to understand how could she gift something when she herself is not the owner .Please clarify.
