Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
mother in law &in laws forceabily made an agreement through notary with a widow just within a month of her husband's death.accorrding to agreement widow had to share 50% of her husbands assest with mother in law .agreement is not registered.
Is this agreement valid.can it be challenged

you can simply send a legal notice to your mother in law that the agreement is invalid as the same was executed under duress. in case they still force you to act upon it, you may file a suit for cancellation of the agreement.

you can issue a legal notice to you MIL that the agreement is not valid as it was signed under force.
