Mr. Sanjay Kaira Jee
you mentioned that the grand child does not have an independent right and can only claim through his grand parents property through his parents. i am an academician and your opinion is absolutely wrong. Please read Transfer of Property Act before giving an opinion of this kind.
question to other lawyers:
does an unborn child have a right in the ancestral property?

right of an unborn child in the womb is governed by sec. 20 of Hindu Succession Act which says
"A child who was in the womb at the time of the death of an intestate and who is subsequently born alive have the same right to inherit to the intestate as if he or she had been born before the death of the intestate, and the inheritance shall be deemed to vest in such as case with effect from the date of the death of the intestate."
