Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

namaste,

my name is basant . i am 19 year old. two years ago i was doing coaching of IIT JEE . i used to send spiritual messages through Facebook . then a swami started telling me to take sanyas. he said to me "ishwar ka gyan hone par yathawat sanyas lete hain" . he told these type of things many times. then finally i asked question related to vairagya. i followed his advice . i emulated his vairagya . which made me suffer schizophrenia, a serious mental disorder. he insulted me and blocked me . i exposed him in yahoo groups . i wrote that he makes people mentally sick . i want to know Is truth a valid defense against defamation or not ? if he files defamation charge on me will i won ?

Aapnay jo kuch kiya woh sahee hai ... sadhu kee naubat nahee kay woh tumharay khilaaf koi mukadma darj karay aur laday ... bilkul befikar raho ... aur apnee zindagee apnay maalomaat aur hukum par chalaao ... yashasvi bhava !!
