Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
My neighbour has installed a cctv camera outside their house to monitor the common area in the lobby. It has been installed in such a way that if the camera angle is tilted, it can look into my house if the main door is open. I also have reason to believe they are recording audio through the inbuilt mic. Is this legally allowed? Can the society intervene and check if the video does not cover my house. How can we ensure that they are not recording audio?
Thank you for your advice.

They can put it for their security and safety. Here there is a very thin line dividing their safety and your privacy, Best solve it amicably.
