A Hindu's ancestral property devolves as per law and not by choice.

Thanks for referring an interesting question of law .
Ancestral property of a Hindu male is devolved as per the provisions of Hindu Succession Act 1956. He can not take it back .However sons derive their rights in ancestral property through father only.
