can the personal property of an individual who is a partner in a partnership firm be attached in a legal dispute

Depends upon the terms and condition of partnership deed. But if conditions are silent then it can be upto the extend of his share liability.

how can one be a partner in proprietorship firm. in case its a partnership firm, the liability of the partners may be unlimited.
